HSMAI 32nd Annual Chinese Auction "Year of the Horse"

We recently had the honor of hosting HSMAI's 32nd annual Chinese auction.  A Chinese auction is different than a typical auction because guests are eligible to win prizes by throwing a quarter in a bucket each time an item is announced.  Prizes are won based on chance (the last number called by the auctioneer once the gonger strikes the gong) rather than on the highest bid which makes for a very exciting, fast-paced, interactive auction.  It was such a fun event that raised money for the amazing company "Kitchen on the Streets" and I'm very happy the Phoenix Marriott Mesa was able to be a part of it!

  

Anna and Owais's Wedding

Anna and Owais recently held their wedding reception in our Arizona Ballroom.  They decorated with rich shades of purple, pink and blue.  From the eggplant satin linen, to the elaborate floral and feather centerpieces to the customized head table, everything turned out very beautiful.  
Congratulations to Anna and Owais!  

Theresa and Kevin's Wedding

Theresa and Kevin were married in our beautiful Starlight Room overlooking the courtyard and held their reception in our ballroom.  They decorated with an Irish theme to honor Kevin's heritage as well as to stay in line with the St. Patrick's holiday.  We wish Theresa and Kevin a lifetime of happiness together!

Angelica and Miguel's Wedding

Angelica and Miguel held their wedding reception in our beautiful ballrooms.  They chose a charming country theme including wood log and mason jar centerpieces, rustic candle holders and picture frames and pink and orange flowers with lots of lace and baby's breath.  They had an adorable dessert station with cupcakes and cake pops hand-made/delivered by her cousin in California.  She made a special pair for the bride and groom decorated like a tux and wedding dress.  So cute!  Angelica had the great idea to create a fun area for the kids including a special table with tools for coloring and crafts.  They even had a foosball table with the players dressed up like mini brides and grooms.  It was an amazing evening and we wish the beautiful couple a lifetime of happiness!

Elizabeth and Evan's Wedding

Elizabeth and Evan held their very elegant reception in our Arizona Ballroom and decorated with black, white and red including beautiful damask overlays, extravagant red rose bouquets, an ice sculpture and five-tiered cake.  Congratulations Elizabeth and Evan!

2nd Annual Downtown Mesa Wedding Walk

We participated in the second annual Downtown Mesa Wedding Walk and had a blast!  Brides and grooms from all over the valley joined us to take a tour of all seven venues throughout the Downtown Mesa area.  There were vendors setup all throughout with amazing giveaways, discounts on products and services, food and wine tastings, a fashion show and a grooms' poker run just to name a few!  We look forward to another very successful wedding walk on Sunday, January 28th, 2015!
